When you were "boosting" it off, was the motor in the car running? If so, it could be the safety switch was fried when all that "juice" comming from the running engine hit it. It could've shot the starter too. If you are going to boost from an auto, do it without the auto's motor running. An auto puts out waaay to much energy for a bike when it is running.
